Worship is one of the most important parts of deciding which church is right for you. Therefore we want to be frank and forthright about what you will find if you come to First Christian Church for worship.
Worship begins at 10:50 am and is usually over right at noon -- sometimes even earlier, but we are not making any promises!
Our sermons are lively and passionate. Our minister usually teaches us about the scripture and then helps us apply it to our lives.
Most of our music comes from our hymnal and is accompanied by piano and/or organ, but we do have a more contemporary songbook that is regularly used and we have an excellent guitarist who frequently brings us special music. Our choir sings most Sundays and we have talented soloists who also bless us.
We always serve communion. To us it is more important than the sermon! Everyone is welcome to partake of communion - the choice to partake is yours and the opportunity to serve is ours.
In a similar vein, membership is our church is also open to anyone who wishes to join, regardless of race, creed, color, and/or politics. As Disciples we do not have any creed but Christ so joining the church involves affirming only that "Christ Jesus is your personal Lord and Savior."
Come worship with us - it might be just what you have always been seeking!
